many mansions in the father’s house

In John 14:2 Jesus is giving another mysterious saying: In My Father’s house are many mansions; if not, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

God showed me that these mansions symbolize FAMILY MEMBERS in His FAMILY.

I had a dream 2 nights ago that I was in my house that I renovated…but I didn’t notice the beauty or even that I had renovated until others with me noticed them.

I looked around when they pointed it out, and saw that not only did my small house look beautiful with new windows, etc, it had somehow expanded & expanded into a huge mansion as I had taken care of each room. I knew I hadn’t expanded the walls as part of anything I did in the house.

I think that this is a dream about my conscience – where I live in my mind. As I have taken the truths Jesus gives me, my mind becomes a better place to live. Jesus expanded my capacity to understand my place in Him – He is my dwelling place. I didn’t do it myself.

It is about understanding I belong in His family, I am one with Him

This is what God is telling me about this dream for not only me, but you:

In John 14 :2 Jesus says, I go prepare a place for you

This place He went was the cross – to the Tomb, the ‘womb’ of His Father. To bring us out in new birth with Him, from the correct Origin.

(Check my blog post on the womb is a tomb if this is hard to understand)

At the cross, sin that enslaved you to a twisted image of God and yourself, was put away, and the way was made to return back to the truth.

God’s prepared place was in Christ, in a new conscience.

This place is not a real house or a ‘mansion’

The Father’s House is a metaphor for His FAMILY

The word translated ‘mansions’ in John 14:2 is actually the noun ‘monē’, and means ‘a staying, an abode’.

This is talking about a consciousness of living in a state of knowing you are in your Father’s house. That there’s no doubt that you are a belonging FAMILY MEMBER in His FAMILY!

A place where you abide, where everything else is birthed from.

Here you have a restored conscience of your rightful place – your right-eous place – in His house.

This is a knowing deep down of belonging, and that you’ve ALWAYS belonged.

There’s nothing anyone can do to make themselves belong with someone else.

Someone else always decides that.

Someone must claim you as daughter, son, friend, etc. This is why people try so hard to be acceptable, and will change things about themselves to belong.

Jesus is telling YOU here, He has claimed YOU, and you never had to do anything to be accepted.

From your creation you were claimed!

MINE, He said!

At the cross and the resurrection, He made sure you could see past the lie and REMEMBER you were His.

Isaiah 43:1 — But now, this is what the LORD says, He who is your Creator, Jacob, And He who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are MINE!

You may have no earthly family, been abandoned by people who should have taken care of you, been unloved by those who should have loved you…but that’s not where your belonging lies.

Leave that house of understanding!

YOU are loved deeply by your Father, & your dwelling place is all ready for you!

There’s nothing to ‘DO’ – just believe it.
