Thought tree on Psalm 87: 1-2 :
His foundation is IN the holy mountain. The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.
The Lord LOVES the gates of Zion : what does it mean? :
His foundation is Jesus Christ, the cornerstone, laid in Zion – which He describes as His holy mountain..
Zion is the dwelling place of the sons of God..
Jesus loves the ‘gates’ – the entrance of Zion, the door of Zion
The entrance of Zion is a revelation of Jesus Christ – where we go in to dwell and become part of the city itself – a city set on a hill…whose foundation is our Cornerstone
Zion is the place in our conscience that dwells on a revelation that is built on Christ – on a mountain – a place of elevation – the high understanding of God
Jesus said to Peter – on THIS ROCK I will build my church (my family)
On the Revelation of : ‘you are the Christ, the son of the living God’
We dwell in the Zion-conscience, being built up as His Body, on the foundation that we are ‘sons of the living God’
Sons of Life – built to live and not die
Jesus: ‘God is not the God of the dead but of the living. Therefore you are greatly mistaken’ (Mark 12)
John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. “And whoever lives AND believes in Me shall NEVER die. Do you believe this?”
Die : apothnēskō – to die off, of the death of men
Jesus was talking to Martha about Lazarus.
Jesus is saying resurrection isn’t an event – it’s Him.
Since we have Him now – within – Resurrection is now.
Jesus = ‘salvation’
NOW is the Day of Salvation.
Now is the day for Life
What do we do with this?
Jesus told us : ‘Do you BELIEVE this?’….Live AND
believe…in Me (Live in My mountain! on My foundation!)
Live and move and have your BEING in Him. Your identity is being built up into eternal life by the foundation of your belief
when you believe rightly (righteously)..that you are Righteous. How could you not be… you are built on your Father’s foundation, born of Him
DON’T live in the dwelling places (the conscience) of
JACOB (‘supplanter’) – the one who supplanted your true identity!!
Live in ZION! enter by the narrow gate of a Revelation that leads to Life! it’s easy to believe in death & take that wide way….the carnal understanding that leads to it!
