were we made mortal?

Paul said NOW is high time to awake out of sleep, and when Jesus spoke of death He called it ‘sleeping’.

I’ve talked before that it is an understanding of the carnal mind that we need to rise from. Rising into the mind of Christ is Life, and staying in a carnal mind is death.

Jesus Christ is the Way, Truth, and Life. To awaken from sleep is to see the truth of Life in you & allow Him to rise out of the depths where He was hidden under the death message.

The death message is this: you are destined for death.

The definition of mortal is ‘destined for death’ ; ‘fatal’.

Since the Father desires that no one die, mortal was something He never spoke over us.

‘Mortal’ was something Adam took on, it is also called ‘flesh and blood’. As Hebrews states in chapter 2 that since the children (all of mankind) partook in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise partook of the same, so that He would die our death. This was how He destroyed sin, the one with the ‘power of death’.

Mortality is NOT God’s message for you. Jesus abolished death.

Life is NOT for after a death you were never meant to taste.

Paul tells Timothy what our holy calling is. We can call this our appointment:

Life & immortality by the appearing of Jesus Christ within you.

2 Timothy 1:10 says : but has now been revealed (His purpose & calling for us) by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought LIFE and IMMORTALITY to light through the gospel.

We are supposed to see LIFE & IMMORTALITY when we hear the gospel! This is the message we are supposed to receive – not death, not hell, not punishment, only Life.

Why must we die if we are ONE with LIFE HIMSELF, Who lives forevermore, Who tasted death for us? How can life die? It cannot and should not! The scripture says as He is so are we in this world?..and therefore we shall say ‘because He lives forevermore, I live forevermore, because He is life, I am life!’.

Let us set our minds on things above, where Christ is, where we will hear inexpressible words like Paul. Because our thoughts haven’t been His thoughts, but we can let them be now!

The One who IS life has not called you ‘destined for death’….a stranger told you that, eating from the strange tree with strange knowledge called you that!

I am deciding to reject that stranger, so that I am not estranged in my mind from Christ!
