The Kingdom is within…& there can only be one King..
But there’s an adversary who wants your throne.
‘He’ is everything that opposes your original true identity & purpose, and he brings a strange culture to your kingdom. What he brings confuses who you are…and you MUST rule over him!
A throne speaks of authority and the crown represents the dominating belief of the mind.
Who is your adversary? AKA : ‘devil’, ‘the wicked’, ‘accuser’, dragon, beast, sin, the flesh, serpent, father of lies, murderer from the beginning, enemy, sower of tares (lies), tree of good & evil, antichrist, law of ordinances written against you, ‘legion’ of thoughts, etc.
(The greek word ‘satanas’ was translated into a name, ‘satan’, rather than its meaning, which is ‘adversary’. This has caused some to teach that this is a spirit-being that can control & possess you. There is no equal & opposite being to God, there is something man made in himself, of his own creation, because he IS like God. It is an image that was not like God, which makes it an opposing image).
What’s his operation? : To appear as an ‘angel of Light’
Angel = ‘messenger’
Light = Truth & understanding
‘He’ carries a message that opposes all you truly are, the Image of Christ you were created in, and preaches a ‘different gospel’, ‘another Jesus’, & shows himself in your temple as God. At first this all appears to be TRUE to your understanding, that is why it is believed, that is why it is deceiving – & if it ends up dominating your kingdom, death brings its wages.
If you hear the Truth & gain understanding from the Spirit, you will dominate your adversary, & have Life. Grace then reigns through righteousness in you.
This adversary is just the Lie from the beginning.
BUT we have been made Kings & Priests to our God – to reign in righteousness (which is awareness of our full oneness with our Father), NOT to be enslaved under the Lie of separation & held under guilt or religion for not ‘being’ who we’ve always been – the sons of God.
How can we reign? We hear His voice & obey it, which means we take it in as the truth. We believe it. When we believe, He starts to go before us, & clear out enemies, which are simply lies.
We can start by understanding that Jesus destroyed sin already & Paul says in Romans 6 that we were crucified with HIm so that the ‘body of sin’ may be done away with, so that we will no longer be slaves to it.
So if sin is not an issue, AND the body of sin (death) is being done away with, what are we left with in opposition to us?
The answer is hidden in the description list of the adversary above! Serpent, accuser, law of ordinances in opposition to us…these are all voices. We are left with a voice that speaks to us. Thoughts in the mind.
So what do we do if sin speaks to us?
First of all, we need to know the Father well so that we can tell when we are hearing a different voice. But for now, if it doesn’t give you life, if it isn’t good, then consider it may be the voice of sin.
Then what? We ignore. We don’t engage, we don’t consider what it is saying. And if we can do as Paul says & count ourselves dead to it…we will not respond. A dead body does not respond to anything. This is not easy when we’ve been trained to be alive to it – but instead the Spirit will help us consider ourselves alive to what God says – to respond to His voice.
And this is how Jesus is saving us. The truth pushes out the lies, it is His work in us!
Remember – not only are you dead to sin, but sin is a dead man also…& there’s no conversation between dead men!
When you reign with Christ’s truth, the Truth fights against the dragon, & ‘satan’ falls from your ‘heaven’ (your mind) & the throne!
